Update — Induction system & VE (Engine calculator)
The old row of VE preset buttons is gone. Instead there is now an Induction system dropdown right above the VE slider:
- Stock single carb (Solex 30/31/34 PICT) ~ 68%
- Modified single carb (37/39 PICT) ~ 71%
- Upgraded center carb (Weber 32/36, center 40 IDF) ~ 74%
- Single throttle body EFI (plenum) ~ 78%
- Dual carbs (40/44 IDF, DRLA, Kadron) ~ 82%
- Dual race carbs (48/51 IDA) ~ 90%
- Dual ITBs EFI (individual runners) ~ 92%
- Race intake + tuned headers ~ 105%
How it works
- Picking an induction system sets the VE slider to a starting value. The slider stays fully adjustable (60–120%), so tune it to your own engine.
- Your induction choice is saved in share links, PDF exports and My Garage builds.
- AI-rcooled Tech (Standard and Power) now sees exactly which induction you run, so no more advice about a "stock single carb" on an ITB build.
- Older saved builds without an induction tag get a best guess from their VE value. Open the build, check the dropdown, and press Update Build to lock it in.
The VE starting values are rough estimates, not dyno data. If you have real numbers for your setup, post them below!
